Domestic Glass Repair
Glass for use in domestic properties typically comes in two varieties; single or double-glazed, with a choice of either float/annealed or toughened glass. Single-glazed windows with float glass can normally be done on the same day.
Our glaziers are able to replace glass from either the outside or the inside of properties, if the framework allows it. If required, we can source scaffolding and/or lifting vehicles for high glass installations.
We’re also able to remove sash windows for glass installation if not on the ground floor.

When a window is damaged, be it broken glass or the window frame, our professional local Hitchin glaziers are only a short distance away to fix the problem. We can also modernise your existing frames with more efficient window styles including double glazing, aluminum replacement windows and Low - E Glass.
For Hitchin shop front windows we would use laminate glass, which conforms to BS 6206. Large and/or thicker than normal panes will usually be a next day service, dependant on glass dimensions. Our Hitchin double-glazed units take approximately two to three days to order, and all our units come with a manufacturers guarantee.
